Scott McFarlane

Scott McFarlane splits his time between Wilmore, Kentucky; Indonesia; and India. He serves as Managing Director of Compass Global, working with customers and partners across North America and Asia. Compass Global helps companies develop and execute effective Asia strategies—leveraging trusted regional technology partners and providing market entry and growth consulting to access the expanding Asian markets. Scott brings over 30+ years of experience living, traveling, and working throughout Asia.

Prior to founding Compass Global, he led the launch of an office in the Philippines and served as Asia Pacific Program Manager and later Global Account Executive at Trax Technologies, supporting a Fortune 100 client.

He lived in Hong Kong beginning in 1993 and later directed a nonprofit focused on equipping business students and executives to engage meaningfully in emerging markets and contribute to poverty alleviation.

Scott is also an Adjunct Instructor at Greenville University, where he teaches international business in both the undergraduate and MBA programs.

CHINA DIRECTOR:

Stacy McGuire
has directed and managed ventures between a variety of Chinese manufacturers & organizations and several leading USA corporations for over 20 years. He is self-taught in Mandarin Chinese and international business which was gained from his legal residency in Taiwan and 20 years working in mainland China. Stacy established one of the first 100 USA owned businesses having a fully owned subsidiary in Hong Kong; while at the same time building nationwide distribution for Chinese-made product lines throughout the United States of America.

Stacy received his degree in Business from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Stacy’s favorite priority and joy in life is raising his five children in beautiful Nashville, Tennessee, and taking each of them on his business trips to China as part of their home school education experience.

IT SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT:

Glenn Vandine
is a Program and Project Management Expert with a broad range of skills that he has gained in 20 plus years of working in the Technology market. Glenn is a Certified PMP and SPSS Solution Architect with extensive experience with international and domestic program and project management, business development (sales, client prospecting, development and retention), and virtual / remote team management.

• Full life cycle system and software development and program and project management, QA program leadership, strategy assessment, documenting policy and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to regulatory reporting, monitoring and investigations and ongoing maintenance of business intelligence (BI), OLAP, and enterprise database marketing applications
• Business Intelligence (BI), Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), intrusion detection and prevention (IDS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), ERP, e-commerce, web applications, data warehouses, reporting and analytics, call center / IVR, and credit and risk predictive and data modeling
• Metadata, client/server, mainframe, and large-scale distributed systems. Former very large company experience, but value and understand the benefits, challenges, dynamics, and resource constraints of small and medium-sized start-up companies.
• Strong hands-on, intensive, and contiguous experience with formal project management (best practices)
• System development and QA program leadership methodologies (complete development life-cycles) for new and existing product development
• Demonstrated experience in partnering with and managing on and off-site vendors, remote teams, and cross- functional teams (business operations and technology) across the enterprise.
